(I want black guys to see this)

I am by no means an expert on sexism, but I feel like it isn’t really talked about in the black community because it is so entwined into institutionalized racism. Black men are taught to treat black women like sexual objects (just like slave masters did..hmm wonder if there is a connection) and to hate them (again…….like confederate whites).

I think when mainstream Black America talks about our women, they are literally bitches and hoes, void of any humanity. Vaginas and nothing more.

We learn this through the life style that was forced upon us in the ghetto’s, which is then represented in our music which is a direct line to our youth who want to perpetuate what they see. Music in which the subject matter is molded and distributed by rich white guys.

I think I talk about sexism, one because it is a huge issue and I am widley aware of my male privilege and because it is a way to also fight racism.

Not only that. I have a beautiful black girlfriend whom I try to treat with respect and I have baby nieces who will be victim to this. So us black men really need to counter this with education!

I wasn’t expecting this! reblogging because definitely needed to be reblogged : D

Oso be talking all the realest shit.
